🛠️ Recording & Notes – Troubleshooting Guide

This article covers common issues with recordings, YouTube videos, and audio uploads on Kiwinote — and how to resolve them.

Updated over 2 months ago

🎥 Why is my YouTube video not working?

Kiwinote currently does not support YouTube Shorts or Live videos.

If you're using a standard YouTube video and it still doesn't work:

  • Make sure the video is public or unlisted (private videos are not supported).

  • If the issue persists, email us at [email protected] with the video link so we can investigate.

🎤 I can't upload my audio

Audio upload issues are typically caused by:

  • The audio file being too short (less than a few seconds)

  • The file being corrupted or incomplete

To avoid this, we strongly recommend using the Record Voice feature available in the Kiwinote iOS app. It’s designed to ensure compatibility and proper transcription.

You can also upload recordings through the Web App at kiwinote.ai, which supports high-quality audio uploads and works best for longer study sessions.

We recommend recording your lessons using the Kiwinote iOS app and then studying or reviewing your notes from the Web App for the best experience.

✂️ My transcript was cut short

Unfortunately, if a recording was cut or interrupted, it cannot be recovered.

To prevent this, use the built-in recording tool inside Kiwinote or Apple Voice Memos, then upload the audio file manually.

However, you can check for failed or incomplete notes directly from the iOS app:

🔁 Recovering Failed Notes

  1. Open the Kiwinote iOS App.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Tap the "Failed Notes" button to view and recover any incomplete or failed transcripts.

If your issue persists, feel free to contact us at [email protected].
